Serhat Dayanıklıoğlu was born in 1976 in Kozlu, Zonguldak. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Zonguldak. In 1995, he entered Forest Industry Engineering Department of Istanbul University Faculty of Forestry.
After graduating from faculty in 2000, he completed his master's degree in 2001 at Istanbul University (Institute of Science, Forest Industry Engineering - Wood Mechanics and Technology).
Since March 1999, he has been the General Secretary of the MDF and Chipboard Manufacturers Association. He is married and has a child.
